Alarmingly orange in colour, sans agents de conservation, and fabriqué avec du vrai fromage Cheddar, Hawkins are a very badly kept Ontario gourmet secret; often sold out before they even hit the shelves.
Drawing on his long standing interests in popular signifiers, Italian art of the ‘50s, and in the uneasy encounter between objecthood and photography, Alan Belcher creates a book that doubles as a sculpture, marrying pop and punk attitudes, deep space encounters and cocktail snacks.
